Mitt Romney, Tide and A Fat Prisoner – Weird Crimes

The Romney Robber

The Romney Robber

Sterling, Virginia – A Wells Fargo bank was robbed last week by a man wearing a Mitt Romney mask. The robber, brandished a handgun and stole money from several tellers before making his escape.

This same bank was robbed two years ago by a robber wearing a Hillary Clinton Mask.

However, it was fitting that this man was wearing a Florida State sweatshirt, given that the university has had a history of ah …… criminal athletes.

Tide, The Newest Drug Of Choice

Tide, The Next World Currency?

Forget The Dollar, The Euro Or Yen, The newest currency is…..Tide?!?!

Law-enforcement officials across the country have been baffled by the latest crime wave targeting an unlikely item — Tide laundry detergent.

Theft of Tide detergent has become so rampant that some cities are setting up special task forces to stop it, and retailers like CVS are locking up the liquid.

One thief in St. Paul, Minn., stole approximately $25,000 worth of the laundry detergent before he was arrested early this year.

Tide has become a valuable currency on the streets. The retail price is pretty high — roughly $10 to $20 a bottle — and it’s a staple in households across socioeconomic classes.

Tide can go for $5 to $10 a bottle on the black market, cops say, and some thieves even resell it to stores.

“We sent in an informant to buy drugs,” Prince George’s County, Md., Detective Harrison Sprague said. “The dealer said, ‘I don’t have drugs, but I could sell you 15 bottles of Tide.’ ”

So far, as of this writing, George Soros hasn’t tried to manipulate the price of Tide on the world currency markets…..yet.

You’ll Never Believe How This Prisoner Smuggled A Gun Into Jail

Who Needs A Holster?

A Texas prisoner was charged with smuggling 9 mm into prison. The gun was found during a routine check of the prisoner’s cell. While it’s not completely unusual for people to smuggle things into jail, it was however the unique method of smuggling that authorities were surprised about.

The prisoner admitted to sneaking the weapon into the jail by hiding it under the folds of his fat. The prisoner also admitted to smuggling in some KFC and a bag of pretzels.

Apparently, when you weigh more than 600 lbs., you’ve got plenty of nooks and crannies to hide a gun and ammo.

8 Safety Tips For Women

Don't Become A Victim

Don’t Become A Victim

Most people mistakenly believe street crimes such as assault, robbery, homicide, rape and carjackings are common only in big cities with bad neighborhoods. It’s also a common misconception that these types of crimes only occur at night, under cover of darkness. However, crime statistics indicate otherwise. While it’s true that street crimes tend to occur more frequently in larger metropolitan areas, the suburbs and “nice” neighborhoods are not immune to crime, even during the day.

Women who are alone are at risk of becoming a victim at all hours of the day and in any type of neighborhood or city.

So, here are some quick tips for women on how to reduce your odds of becoming the victim of a street crime, no matter where you are.

Be Alert Of Your Surroundings

Be Alert Of Your Surroundings

1) – Be Aware Of Your Surroundings.

You should always be alert and observant to what is going on around you. That includes suspicious looking people and vehicles. Avoid poorly lit areas, or places where someone could hide and surprise you. People who talk on their cell phones are often oblivious to their surroundings and make great targets for criminals. Don’t be that person.

2) – Don’t Go Out Alone

Avoid going out alone at night, especially in unfamiliar areas. There is safety in numbers. Criminals target women who are alone far more often that women in pairs or groups. However, just because you are traveling with a friend, doesn’t mean you can let your guard down. You still need to be cognizant of your surroundings and the people around you.

Avoid ATM's At Night

Avoid ATM’s At Night

3) – Avoid ATM’s At Night

Use common sense when using an ATM. Most ATM crimes occur after 8:00 pm. Plan things out ahead of time and use the ATM during day-time hours. If that isn’t a possibility then go to a supermarket. Many supermarkets have a mini bank branch inside, so use the ATM inside the market. If they don’t have a mini bank branch, consider buying a small item from the market and getting cash back. Never use a Bank ATM machine at night.

4) – Self Defense Weapons

Make sure you have some type of self defense item such as; pepper spray, a stun guns or even a kubotan. Whichever you choose, make sure you know how to use it and practice with it so you’ll be prepared when you need it.

5) – Learn How To Use A Gun

Learn about and familiarize yourself with hand guns. Even if you don’t own one or plan to own one, you may find yourself in a position to use one. An attacker may drop his weapon, or somebody being attacked may drop theirs and you could suddenly find yourself in a position to protect yourself or someone else. If you’ve never fired a weapon before you’ll be in trouble. However, if you’ve had some training or even some minimal exposure to handguns, that knowledge could prepare you to use that handgun for self defense and save your life in the process.

Take A Self Defense Class

6) – Take A Self Defense Class

Sometimes carrying pepper spray gives women a false sense of security. The pepper spray could fail to discharge, you might drop it or it could be taken away. Have a back-up plan in place by taking a self-defense course. Learning how to throw a punch, or a kick will give you confidence. Often times that confidence shows in your body language and an attacker will simply choose another target. Or in the event that you do become a victim, you just might be able to use what you learn to save your life.

7) – Enable Cell Phone GPS

Keep your cell phone with you at all times and learn it’s capabilities. Does your cell phone have GPS tracking capability? If something happens to you and your cell phone has GPS tracking it may aid law enforcement in locating you. Also, make sure your phone has a full charge every time you leave the house.

8) – Let People Know Your Plans

Always let someone, a neighbor, roommate, or family member know your itinerary before you leave. If you go missing, this could make it much easier for the police to locate you later on.

How To Shoot Pepper Spray

Police Issue Pepper Spray

Police Issue Pepper Spray

In the last 10 years, pepper spray has increased in popularity as a means of self protection for women around the world. However, pepper spray education and instruction in how to use it, have not kept pace with the overall rise in sales.

The results have been predictable, record numbers of women who own pepper spray but have no practical knowledge of when to deploy it or how to use it properly.

There have been reports of accidental discharges, misfires, women spraying themselves while attempting to fight off an attacker and perps taking taking the pepper spray away and using it against their victims.

Pepper spray makes a great choice for self defense; it’s non-lethal, inexpensive, easy to use, small, inconspicuous and extremely effective when used properly. So the important thing is to learn how to use it and practice with a water-based practice spray to become proficient in how to deploy it correctly.

The following tips will help you to use pepper spray the proper way so that you’ll avoid accidental discharge and insure that you hit your intended target while minimizing the risk to yourself.

BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

Be Aware Of Your Surroundings

Having a canister of pepper spray on your key-chain, in your purse or in your car will not help you one bit if you allow an attacker to surprise you. You need to know what’s going on around you at all times and have your pepper spray in hand and ready to use while you are walking to and from your vehicle.

Pay attention to your surroundings and be ready, you may only have a second or two to react.

React Quickly And Confidently

React Quickly And Confidently

REACT QUICKLY AND WITH CONFIDENCE

Remember, the objective is to surprise the attacker. Pull out your pepper spray only when you are prepared to use it. Don’t give the attacker any time to think and react to it.

When you’re ready to shoot, go into a slight crouch with your feet about shoulder width apart and evenly balanced.

Hold your non-shooting hand out and yell stop as you shoot. This will focus your energy on the task at hand and may draw the attacker’s attention toward your hand and away from the pepper spray. It also gives you time to raise and aim the spray before you shoot.

NOTE: Some women may not want to use one hand because they may not be able to aim accurately unless they hold the spray with both hands. Either way, determine which method works best for you by practicing first.

Hold your shooting hand steady as you shoot, never thrust your hand forward as it will affect your aim. Make sure that your upper body remains balanced and still. This will allow you to aim more accurately and with consistency.

As you fire, step backward slightly, but don’t turn your back on him! This will give you more time, create more distance between you and the attacker and draws the attacker into the spray. While stepping back, do so in a slow, steady and deliberate manner while trying to limit upper body movement as much as possible.

Don’t shut your eyes while spraying. You need to see where you are shooting. If your aim is off slightly, simply adjust your aim and continue shooting.

Don’t wave the spray like a fire hose, this does nothing but waste the spray. Aim, shoot and look where you are hitting and correct if necessary.

Aim for the head and shoulders. Shooting for about 2-3 seconds is usually adequate. At this point, an attacker will normally pause for a moment while he tries to gather himself as the pain and uncontrollable coughing spasms set in. Once he’s disabled, stop spraying, and escape.

PRACTICE

Shooting pepper spray accurately is like any athletic activity, it requires practice to achieve perfection. No one would dream of using martial arts to protect themselves without first practicing, so why would you do that with pepper spray?

Don’t wait until something bad happens until you first use your spray. Buy a water-based inert spray to practice with, until you are comfortable using it.

BUY SOME PEPPER SPRAY!

So now it’s time to purchase some spray. Do you want a 1/2 oz key-chain model, or a larger one to keep in your purse? Would you prefer a stream or a fogger? Which one is better, pepper gel, pepper foam or OC pepper spray?

There are many options to choose from and the best way to determine which one is right for you, is to visit our pepper spray guide.

So, educate yourself, practice and don’t depend on anyone else for protection. Take it upon yourself to provide your own protection and you’ll feel safer and more confidant. Good luck and stay safe!

Stupid Criminals – Pocket Dialing 911 In The Middle Of A Drug Deal

Hello?

Scranton, Pennsylvania – Justin Kryzanowski, 24, was a simple man. He was just your typical 20 something American guy. He liked football, hot dogs, apple pie and selling crack to neighborhood kids.

He was an entrepreneur who believed in customer service. So one day, while on a “sales call” to a potential client, Justin accidentally pocket dialed 911. His conversation with a customer named “Rick” involved phrases like “dime bag” and bong tokes” which aroused suspicions of the 911 operator who then informed police.

Police were waiting for Justin when he arrived home. The Scranton police noticed that Kryzanowski’s speech was slurred , and his eyes were dilated during their initial interview at his house.

They also discovered prescription drugs and syringes filled with Suboxone, an opioid dependence medication, inside Kryzanowski’s residence. Cops confirmed that Kryzanowski’s cell phone also matched the one used to dial 911 during the alleged drug deal.

Note to drug-dealers: A great technique to avoid getting busted by the cops is refrain from calling them on yourself!

Woman Uses Bear Spray And A Bokken To Catch A Thief

Bear Spray

Bear Spray

San Francisco, California – Sonya Yu, a San Francisco woman decided she’s had enough of crime in her neighborhood and took the initiative to fight back. She was angry that thieves were stealing delivered packages from the doorsteps of her neighbors so she attempted to catch the suspect herself and she posted live tweets throughout the entire ordeal.

She armed herself with bear spray (an extremely powerful pepper spray used primarily as a bear repellant) and a bokken (a wooden sword the samurai used during training).

“My bear spray, bokken, & I are still not intimidated,” wrote Yu. “We keep bear spray by the door, so my plan is spray, call 911, & mutilate his junk.”

You gotta love this woman’s style! She definitely doesn’t fit the typical helpless victim profile.

Bokken

When the suspect approached a seemingly unattended package at Yu’s door, She doused him with bear spray from the safety of her balcony. The man, who apparently was armed with a knife, fled immediately.

Yu called police and then pursued the scum bag with her bokken and bear spray in tow.

“He escaped, but not far,” she tweeted. “The bear spray debilitated him & painted him orange so other cops picked him up within 5 minutes. GOT HIM!”

She said that the police laughed hysterically when they saw her makeshift weapons.

Yu was hit with some Bear Spray blowback, but she thought it was a small price to pay for catching the krook.

San Francisco police identified the man as Andy Anduha, 51. He was charged with attempted burglary and outstanding warrants for traffic violations, police said.
